This campaign, which began more than 50 years ago, assisted in the reconstruction of the town wall, which partially destroyed or damaged during World War II. Today, these donations are used for the preservation of the historical buildings in Rothenburg ob der Tauber.

The campaign is under the direction of the Association for Preservation of Historical Buildings in Rothenburg.

After remittance of 1.300,00 Euro to the Rothenburg City Administration, the name and hometown of the benefactor will be set in a stone (max. 40 letters, Latin alphabets only!), which will be permanently placed in a sectio of the town wall seen by visitors.
