And: There is no reservation required! Just show up at the Market Square in front of the City Hall or at the specified meeting point.

This tour through the historic Old Town with its romantic alleyways and picturesque squares offers an overview of the various aspects and epochs of the history of the town of Rothenburg.

Nightwatchman Tour in Rothenburg ob der Tauber

The dishonest and accordingly still single Hangman tells his tales of Devil’s work and witches’ magic, and his fruitless search for a hangman’s daughter to wed. He’ll show you enchanted sights and offer protective amulets, bones, and healing tinctures. He remains ever vigilant against the “witch’s shot”.

A historically based and vibrant journey through the lore of justice, healing, and superstitions of yore. The tour doesn’t require it to be dark because in the Dark Ages people believed in spirits during the day too. Suitable for children aged eight and older.

Ghost-tour

Meeting point: Market Square

Walburga is in trouble: her husband just died and she needs to marry a new one asap to keep her house. Meet this interesting lady from the 16th century and find out about who she was and how and where she lived her daily life. What were customs, rules and punishment like?
This will be answered at a funny time journey leading you to the past and to Walburga´s home, the old craftman´s house in Rothenburg.

Walburgas time journey

Travel in time through the musical works of German lyricicst starting in the 11th century. Live music, melodies and songs of the past paint a picture of medieval & Renaissance life while featuring highlights of Rothenburg.
