The origins of our establishment date back to the 13th century. 

We carefully strike a balance between preserving history and creating something new, always under the watchful eye of the guardians and custodians of Bavarian historic preservation. This results in spaces that offer not just a bed and breakfast, but a special experience—right in the heart of Rothenburg’s Old Town. 

Each of the 21 rooms is one-of-a-kind, and all the woodwork is custom-made. 

Our kitchen offers hearty, down-to-earth dishes as well as refined fare—exactly what “the good citizen” enjoys eating and what delights the soul.

On warm days, we serve meals in the restored courtyard at the “Futtertrog,” right next to the historic city wall, with a view of the bustling stork’s nest.
